What Project would a laptop help you with?
I founded TechLit Africa to foster a more technologically literate Africa. Many communities in Africa don’t have access to non-mobile computers and technological education. We are repurposing the vast quantity of used technological equipment from companies, institutions, and individuals and refurbish them for use in the impoverished communities we serve.
How Would A Laptop Help You?
I am from Mogotio, Kenya. I first used a keyboard when I was 18. This was very limiting for me as I pursued a career in software engineering. I’ve always wondered; “What people in the remote areas of Africa, that have never seen a computer have to contribute in today’s digital revolution?” The answer is nothing, and it makes me sad. TechLit Africa ensures the kids and communities in rural have the tech skills needed to contribute to the Global Economy. Right now, we are starting a computer lab in Ghana.
