Short Description Of Project

When I took my Baccalaureate exam to enter college, I ranked 34th in the country out of 20,000 students in Guinea who took the exam! Due to my ranking, the government paid for my undergraduate degree. Now that I am finished, I have no more support from the government and no prospects for a job. I was lucky enough to have some friends to finance my continued education in Conakry, and I want to use this great opportunity to educate myself as much as possible and help my country to develop.

Because Guinea’s education system is not on par with that of the United States, Europe, and many countries in Asia, Guineans who work in the international sector are often not considered to be at the same level of knowledge and intelligence as their colleagues. Guinea’s government is also sometimes corrupt, and so their representatives are often not held in high esteem.

I want to complete my Masters in Guinea, and then do further studies in the U.S., so that I can return to serve my country with a degree from abroad that will be respected. I want to be a positive representative for Guinea, so that the problems that my country is facing, including poverty, corruption and a poor education system, can be addressed.

How Would A Laptop Help You?

I want to use the internet to access materials not available to me in Conakry and learn about the careers of great diplomats all over the world. I also want to connect with students across the world studying the same subject as me.
