What Are You Most Passionate About?

Music.  It is an art form that speaks volumes, in which all people around the world can relate to. It allows us understand one another and helps to transcend the divide between cultures. It’s a powerful outlet for building influence.

Who Is Your Hero? Why?

My parents are my heroes. Since I was a little girl they’ve worked hard to ensure my siblings and I have a roof over our heads, clothes on our backs, and food in our bellies. In the midst of them working so hard, they never once forgot to share love and motivation. They motivate us to always elevate ourselves, our minds, and to never say “I can’t do this” but “I can do this and I will!”

What Is Your Favorite Sound?

The sound of celebration: laughing,dancing, clapping, and so on. It tells me that whoever is experiencing one of those acts is happy.

What Project Would A Laptop Help You With?

A laptop would allow me to stay connected to LIFE Camp, a volunteer organization I work with.  Through mediating gang violence and offering social support LIFE Camp has become a pillar of the Queens community. I’m attending college now, and having a laptop would help immensely in communicating with my fellow volunteers and helping to spread the message of our organization.

What do you love about this project?

I love its positivity.  Though the world may seem to be falling apart and society is becoming divided; LIFE Camp works hard to reverse violence and negativity by spreading peace, love, and unity throughout the community.
