Who Is Your Hero? Why?

Sekou Toure, the first president of Guinea, is my hero. He was intelligent, goal-driven, self-educated, bold, persuasive, and persistent. He loved and served his fellow citizens and worked hard in the best interest of the country. Sekou Toure had very little formal education, yet he was extremely persuasive and influential.

What Project Would A Laptop Help You With?

The main goal of my project is to popularize the English language in my school and community. I would like to help my compatriots to get jobs in the international gold mining companies in my region, where speaking English is necessary.  Speaking english also makes communication easier with the environmental NGO’s who are active in our community.  These organizations are integral in restoring our eco-system.

How would a laptop help you?

A laptop is an essential tool for teaching in communication in the modern age. A laptop would be used to construct presentations, lesson plans and to facilitate contact with teachers abroad.

What do you love about this project?

I love the prospect of being able to help others and improve lives.
