What Are You Most Passionate About?
The thing I am most passionate about is LIFE. In 2010 I was diagnosed with brain cancer and was told it could kill me at any moment. After surviving 18 hours of surgery and six months of recovery, the tumor returned in 2014. After more radiation treatment the doctor’s only plan is to watch the tumor and hope it doesn’t grow further.
Who Is Your Hero? Why?
My family are all my heroes, starting with my husband who has served as my caretaker during this troubled time. My children are also my little heroes because they too help to take care of me.
What Is Your Favorite Sound?
The ocean.
What Project Would A Laptop Help You With?
I would like to create a blog that chronicles my life and what it’s like to live with cancer. It is my intention to be a beacon of hope to everyone out there fighting terminal diseases that you can live a good life. I’ve been told many times that my testimonies have helped others find hope so I want to give that hope to more people through this project.
How Would A Laptop Help You?
As of today I’m living my life the best I can while trying to spread my story of survival. While I would never trade sharing my story face to face for anything in the world; I would love to be able to reach more people through the magic of the internet.
What do you love about this project?
I love to show that when things happen that are life altering you don’t have to make that your final answer. Get up and live out loud! Create as many memories, good and bad, as possible. Leave a legacy that will live on forever.
