Short Description Of Project

Child Line is 24hr service to any child under the age of 18. It is a non-profit, and is the primary point of contact for most government services – including the police for children found on the streets of Varanasi.

Child Line provides shelter, food, clothes, counseling and education for children left in their care until the parents are found or the courts determine the next step for the child. Lost children, run away children, children who have no parents, sick children whose parents are unable to take care of the child all come to the care of Child Line.

How Would A Laptop Help You?

We would use a laptop for office work, including registering the children, doing the legal documents required so the cases can go to court, and researching who the parents are and where they are.

Also getting details of the children online and shared with other agencies increases the chances of finding the parents and the children not having to enter the court system.
