Who is someone who inspires you?

Gijs Spoor the founder of Chetna Organic, the world’s largest organic cotton project.  He is currently traveling from from India to The Netherlands using public buses, meeting children and artisans along the way.  He is my main inspiration.

What Is Your Favorite Sound?

The insects in a field in the evening after an afternoon of rain is the most lovely sound.

What Project would a laptop help you with?

The unsustainable production and consumption of textiles is leading to a great deal of pollution and the farmers are inadequately compensated. I work on reducing the cost of cultivation of the farmer by 75% thus doubling the farmer’s income. The best part of this is that we even sequester carbon back into the soil making it climate resilient.

How Would A Laptop Help You?

To study, create spreadsheets, Photoshop presentations and to promote a farming organisation that will be producing organic cotton.

What do you love about this project?

The sheer capacity with which a single project has the capability to change the entire supply chain by just making minor adjustments. I also love the scalability of the project. Above all the satisfaction of creating a social enterprise that directly works towards environmental conservation warms my heart.
