What Are You Most Passionate About?

I am passionate about being the best mom possible to my son Sam, and creating a better tomorrow for him today. I also love knitting. Making scarves and hats for him and his dad is a treat.

Who Is Your Hero? Why?

My hero at the moment is another single mom with three girls who is following her passion to be a fitness instructor. She always smiles.

What Project Would A Laptop Help You With?

Currently, I’m the supervisor of an elementary school kitchen. One of my photos shows me dressed up as Murray the monkey, to get kids excited about eating fresh fruit! However, we currently live in a homeless shelter and this position won’t support me and my son after we leave. A laptop will help me get a degree, and support both of us in the future.

Short Description Of Project

Using my experience working in the kitchen, I’m hoping to get a degree in in preventive care and nutrition, and keep my son healthy and happy. Since I was young, I wanted to study something like this, because I think it’s so fantastic to have the ability to make people actually feel better, and now that I’m a mother my passion for health & wellness is newly ignited.

A laptop would allow me to take online classes, and search online for professional opportunities. It would help me create a career and a life for us after we leave the shelter.
