What Project Would A Laptop Help You With?
Monitoring inventory and data collection in a health center.
Short Description Of Project
I work for APIC, a public health organization in Faranah where I am the head of the monitoring and evaluation team. I have found that I am able to be more efficient and effective at my work since I bought a computer thus I would like to request a computer for the newly built health center in my village to enable them the get started on the right foot.
As an active member in my community and the person responsible for the success of this project, I will work closely with the doctors and staff members, empowering them to better run the health center through trainings on how to use a computer.
How Would A Laptop Help You?
A computer will enable the health center to keep patient records, medical supply inventory and allow doctors to do research on threatening diseases prevalent in the region.
The doctors will be able to manage patient records closely and address/respond to each patient’s medical needs more efficiently. More often than not, medical records are jotted in books or pieces of paper which can be easily lost over the years thus resulting in the doctor’s inability to follow up on treatments with their patients
Inventory will be closely monitored to ensure that there is a steady inflow of supplies needed for the proper functioning of a health center. As is common in many health centers I have worked with, improper tracking of inventory causes a constant shortage of medical supplies which inhibits doctor’s from working in their full capacity.
