What Project Would A Laptop Help You With?
The Humanist Womens Group for the Promotion of Nutrition in Conakry, which I founded in 2006
Short Description Of Project
I created this organization because I have seen there is a lack of knowledge about nutrition in Guinea, leading to many preventable illnesses. I have also seen much food go to waste while people are going hungry and I wanted to help alleviate these problems. Our objective is to work with the population of Guinea, in particular the women of Guinea, to lead a healthier life through the consumption and transformation of moringa and other local products. I work to inform people about good nutritional practices and food transformation using local resources. Our activities include: making food for infants, food conservation, drying fruits and vegetables, transformation of moringa and cassava, jam making, soap making, and planting moringa trees.
How Would A Laptop Help You?
With a computer we could have a more professional presentation, create labels for our products, make informational pamphlets, save past data, and connect to the internet to do research. A computer would also permit us to find new partners and people to work with. Having a computer would be an enormous help to the development of our organization.
