Cheering for the underdog and misunderstood. I am passionate about leaving a positive impression on the next generation and empowering them with the tools they need for success.

Who Is Your Hero? Why?

Teachers. They work tirelessly and go virtually unrecognized for their contributions and sacrifices on a daily basis.

What Is Your Favorite Sound?

Laughter. I interpret it that someone has found happiness and joy, even if only momentarily.

What Project would a laptop help you with?

I work with an underserved population at my school and I dedicate a lot of time trying to introduce them to new and exciting experiences. The kids are always underestimated so inviting quality speakers into the classroom and taking the students on trips is a service within itself.  I enjoy bridging the gap and exposing them to local (and not so local) resources that motivate them and set a flame to ignite new passions.

How Would A Laptop Help You?

I often have to research activities or topics for work. A computer would also help with organizing field trips and allow me to email leads for community service projects. In our alternative school resources are limited and stretched to the max. A laptop would allow me the freedom to research during my personal time.

What do you love about this project?

That I can provide lasting memories for my students, and help them experience something that they would not otherwise have access to. Helping them realize that people do care and that someone is always listening.
